Shake‐out grates

Shake‐out grates, also called vibrating grates or separating grates, are machines used in foundries to separate molding sand from the casting and the molding box.

For this purpose, the molding box on the shake‐out grate is set to vertical vibration. The resulting vibrating movements empty the molding box, and the sand can escape downward through the openings in the grate and be used again, while the casting, now freed from sand, remains on the shake‐out grate.

Designs of shake‐out grates

Dosiertechnik GmbH offers shake‐out grates for large piece weights (multiple shake‐out grates up to 40 m²) as well as for small piece numbers (single shake‐out grates up to 9 m²).
